Announcing the first European Board Examination in Clinical Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
The European Society of Endocrinology and the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) are pleased to announce the first European Board Examination in Clinical Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (EBEEDM).
As growing internationalism provides opportunities for clinicians to work abroad, the importance of universally recognisable standards that differentiate between candidates is increasing. This examination will provide endocrinologists throughout Europe with a resource allowing them to stand out and gain recognition for their abilities.
The examination will be computer-based, multiple choice questions, which present clinical scenarios, assessing candidates\' medical knowledge as well as competency in diagnosis, investigation, management and prognosis, The European Board Examination can be taken at independently operated assessment centres across Europe on 06 June 2018 and will cost €750.

ESE is providing a limited number of Examination Grants to cover 50% of the cost of taking the exam.
These grants will only be available to ESE members under the \'in-training\' category, or who are in the \'reduced rate\' category.

Registration for the European Board Examination in Clinical Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism will open on the 14 February 2018 and will close on 14 March 2018.
